Crystal Serenity Day 1

Embarkation is a breeze, we took a cab for the five minute ride to the terminal at 11:30 and were on board with a glass of champagne in hand by 12:10.

Serenity is in really nice shape but it will be good to see her come out of dry dock in November having converted to full open dining with a couple of new dining venues, and a makeover of the Palm Court and a couple other areas that scream Golden Girls.

Our veranda cabin on deck 8 is in great condition and we quickly settle in. This cruise has a really nice mix of port and sea days and a great lineup of lecturers and entertainment. Tonight we sail away from Dover en route to Bergen, tomorrow is our first day at sea.
